Our Mission
About MMS
Martial knowledge carries ethical responsibility. MMS exists to transmit both.
The Meaning of Muslim Martial Science
Muslim describes the ethical foundation of the institution: a framework of conduct (adab), knowledge (ilm) and accountability that shapes how martial skill is pursued and used. Martial refers to the arts themselves, studied in their full technical and historical depth. Science describes the method: careful observation, structured practice and honest testing of what works.
Why MMS Was Established
Many traditional arts are at risk of being diluted, misrepresented or lost. Others are taught as performance with little connection to practical application or to character. MMS was established to preserve authentic knowledge, to examine it rigorously, and to develop practitioners whose ability is matched by their discipline and integrity.

Knowledge and Ethical Responsibility
The capacity to cause harm is a trust (amanah). Training at MMS treats restraint, humility and service as part of martial development, not as additions to it.
A Multidisciplinary Approach
MMS studies Wing Chun, Taekwondo, Karate, Kickboxing, Wrestling, Ninjutsu, Silat and Eskrima. We do not merge them into a new style. Each tradition keeps its own origin, lineage and methodology. MMS studies the common principles they share (structure, timing, distance, economy of motion) and how those principles express themselves differently in each art.
Tradition and Modern Application
Traditional forms preserve knowledge. Pressure-testing and modern training science check whether that knowledge can be applied. MMS values both: tradition without testing becomes ritual, and testing without tradition loses its depth.
